Chicago Lean Startup Challenge

qrKinetix accepted to participate in the 2012 Chicago Lean Startup Challenge

"Lean Startup" techniques are a way for a company to launch products in the marketplace that are highly optimized for success, without wasting time and money on the wrong customers, wrong features, and ineffective activities.  Lean Startup techniques focus on identifying exactly who the customer is, what they want, and getting the right product features to them as quickly as possible, by conducting intensive customer interviews, running experiments, and tweaking the product/service features and functionality to laser-focus on the needs of the marketplace.  Like the concept of Lean Manufacturing, the goal is to cut cycle time and reduce waste.   Lean Startup techniques prevent time wasted on features that customers don't want, or selling products to people who don't want or need them.

We've adopted the Lean principles to develop our next round of products.  Not only that, we're going to develop them in a fashion such that not only are our products competitive, but our process of developing the products is world-class and competitive as well.  Our next round of product development starts June 30, kicked off at the Lean Startup Challenge Bootcamp.  Wish us well as we go head to head with our peers, proving not just that our product is "better", but that our process of getting it there is "The Best".  We'll keep you posted as we progress in this 14 week challenge and as our new products roll out the door.
